_{Newres was founded in 2022 by Jan Vapaavuori and Sanna-Mari Jäntti. Jan Vapaavuori is an urban affairs advocate, a former Mayor of Helsinki, two-term Minister in the Finnish national government and former Vice-President in the European Investment Bank. Sanna-Mari Jäntti is an expert in cultural policy and development, and urban affairs. She has previously worked as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at the City of Helsinki Mayor’s Office and, among others, the Guggenheim Helsinki and World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 initiatives.}
